February 2023Position SummaryProfessional Tribe LLC. provides
business and professional services to food and agribusiness
companies in the areas of Legal, IT, Human Resources, Purchasing,
Finance, and Accounting. The Payroll Supervisor will oversee and
supervise the organization's payroll functions, ensuring that pay
is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with government
regulations.Responsible for the daily supervision of payroll
department; remote oversight of payroll-related processing for
several other employees. Oversees all aspects of payroll processing
for multiple entities including ensuring that payroll is processed
in a timely and accurate manner, filing timely and accurate payroll
tax returns, quarterly and yearend taxes, working closely with HR
on issues related to payroll, coordinating with accounting staff in
resolving accounting issues, participating in internal and external
audits, providing managers with payroll information, conducting
system upgrades and conversions, and administering payroll in
accordance with all union contracts, laws, policies, and
procedures. Work together with Corporate Human Resources and

Responsibilities)
- Oversees procedures and processes and manages inquiries and
requests related to preparation and distribution of payroll.
- Processes payroll transactions including salaries, benefits,
garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
- Work with Human Resources, Supervisor and Time Approvers, to
ensure accurate data entry of weekly payroll for all field
employees and administrative staff.
- Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates
including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
- Maintains or oversees the maintenance of employee records.
- Process off cycle checks for terminations, pay changes, any
additional payroll requests.
- Direct all day-to-day payroll processing and reporting for all
administrative and field employees in accordance with all federal,
state, and local tax laws, and corporate policies and
procedures.
- Respond timely to payroll issues and/or questions.
- Work with Human Resources Dept. regarding new hires,
termination, and benefit deductions, submitting documents timely
and accurately.
- Ensure tax information is correct and liaison with current HRIS
to ensure accurate and timely tax filings.
- Ensure payroll tax reporting and remittance are timely and in
compliance with applicable tax laws and all payroll accounts are
reconciled timely and accurately.
- Develop and implement payroll department structure and
processes to increase the efficiency of the department while
establishing/maintaining an effective internal control structure,
with self-audit procedures that will ensure the consistent
application of payroll policies.
- Research & resolve pay/policy/tax related inquiries.
- Generate complex payroll reports as needed (Finance, HR,
Benefits).
- Manage statistical reporting of activity running through
payroll on a daily, monthly, and annual basis.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll,
wage, and hour laws and best practices.
- Facilitates audits by providing records and documentation to
auditors.
- Identifies and recommends updates to payroll software, systems,
and procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

skills.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related
software.Proficient with payroll software.Bachelor's degree in
Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related
field is required.Four years of experience in payroll processing is
required with two years in a supervisory or management role
preferred.Bilingual (English/Spanish) requiredKnowledge of the most
frequently used HRIS / payroll and timekeeping systems. Proficient
with Microsoft Excel, Word and 10Key.Time management and
organizational skills.Strong attention to accuracy and
detail.Ability to meet critical payroll deadlinesMust have good
people skills, be able to work as a team member, and be skilled at
problem solving.Able to communicate time sensitive and detailed
information to a diverse group of people in a confidential and
respectful manner.Physical RequirementsWhile performing the
functions of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit;
frequently required to talk or hear; and occasionally required to
stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands
and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must
occasionally lift and or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision
