Duties:

Works under the supervision of the Outpatient Infusion Nurse Manager and Director of Critical Care. Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skill necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served in the department. Performs various clinical and office duties to include routine patient care and clerical functions not limited to taking vital signs, administering approved medications, performing simple diagnostic tests, collecting specimens, drawing blood, cleaning of equipment, maintaining infusion rooms bays, assist in answering telephones, data collection, or word processing. Assists with the efficient flow of patients through departments while focusing on the delivery of quality care. Performance is not limited to manipulating logistics, assisting with the ambulation of patients, or basic patient prep. Promotes and supports a positive work environment by exercising productive communication. Performs other duties as assigned to support interdepartmental collaboration. Performs any combination of the following duties depending on the area of assignment.



Skills:

REQUIRED *A minimum of one (1) year Medical Assistant experience required. A minimum of one

(1) year Phlebotomy experience required. Must have successfully completed the Medication Administration

Test administered by SVMHS.



Education:

REQUIRED*: A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED required. Successful completion of a Medical

Assistant training program from an accredited school required. Current Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) License from the State of California

required. *Current BLS Healthcare Provider status as per American Heart Association standards required.
