Family Practice opportunity located in Salinas area, just 40 miles from San Jose, CAProgressive hospital located in the Monterey Bay, 45 minutes from the Silicon Valley seeking Family Practice physician for employed position; opportunity due to growth and retirement of current Family Practice physician; established multi-specialty clinic setting; Pediatric call ten days/month PALS certification a plus as well as Spanish speaking skills; ideal candidate will be comfortable with inpatient and outpatient Pediatrics; call group available for office call; payor mix is 25% MedCare, 20% Medical; 30% Blue Cross, 10% HMO and 15% PPO; this is a contract position; salaried position including malpractice coverage with tail; affiliated with 113-bed hospital servicing over 60K population. Spanish speaking a plus. There are six Family Practice physicians, four OB's, three General Surgeons, four Internists/Hospitalists, Cardiologist, Urologist, Radiologist, Pathologist and three Orthopedists in the community.Practice is located in an agricultural community , 18 miles NE of Salinas, California and 43 miles SE of San Jose, CA. It's Cool ocean air creates warm summer months and mild winters. The scenic Pacheco State Park offers great views of the Central Valley and the Santa Clara Valley.
