Our team consists of dedicated professionals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of our clients.Job Title: Physician AssistantLocation: Salinas & throughout Monterey CoJob Description:As a Physician Assistant (PA) at ASN, you will play a vital role in our healthcare team, working closely with community health workers, patient navigators and other medical professionals to provide comprehensive patient care. ASN serves our community with low barrier access to Medication for Opioid Misuse Disorder, hepatitis C treatment, HIV/HCV testing, STI screening, street medicine and vaccines. Your primary responsibilities will include: Conducting patient assessments, including medical history reviews, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests. Collaborating with physicians to develop and implement treatment plans for patients. Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, such as blood tests. Prescribing medications and other treatment modalities as needed. Providing patient education on preventive healthcare measures, treatment options, and medication adherence. Assisting in surgical procedures and other medical interventions as required. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records for all patients. Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient cases and treatment strategies. Adhering to all relevant legal and ethical standards in patient care delivery.Requirements: Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program. An understanding of Disparities in health outcomes Current state licensure as a Physician Assistant. Strong clinical skills and medical knowledge. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative healthcare team. Commitment to providing high-quality patient care with compassion and empathy.
