Nightingale's List is seeking a travel Correctional RDN - Registered Dietitian Nutritionist for a travel job in Soledad, California. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: RDN - Registered Dietitian Nutritionist - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Duration: 24 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Overview: Join our healthcare team at this Correctional Facility as a Registered Dietitian, where you’ll play a critical role in assessing and managing the nutritional needs of inmates. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to support patient health through clinical nutrition in a secure and collaborative environment. Qualifications: - Must hold a current and valid registration as a Registered Dietitian through the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) for practice in California. - A minimum of 12 continuous months of recent, relevant experience within the last 3 years in a comparable clinical setting (internships not applicable). - Must be fluent in English, both written and spoken, to ensure accurate documentation and effective communication. Responsibilities: - Provide medical nutrition therapy based on physician orders and institutional protocols. - Conduct nutrition assessments and follow-up counseling for diverse clinical conditions, including diabetes, renal disease, and chronic illness. - Develop and adjust individualized dietary care plans and therapeutic diets in collaboration with interdisciplinary care teams. - Participate in treatment planning, staff training, and food service oversight to ensure safe, evidence-based dietary practices. - Ensure compliance with Title 22, food safety standards, and institutional dietary policies. - Prepare reports documenting patient care, nutrition outcomes, and recommendations for dietary program improvement. - Maintain a safe, professional, and secure work environment in accordance with CDCR policies and regulations.
