A contract opportunity is available for an experienced Occupational Therapist to provide in-person services within a school setting in Watsonville, CA. This role supports a diverse caseload of approximately 50 students, ranging from preschool through high school, across seven rural school sites, a high school, a small school district, and a regional preschool program. The position offers a unique chance to work collaboratively alongside another occupational therapist while delivering flexible, student-centered care. Key Responsibilities: - Deliver occupational therapy assessments, treatment plans, and interventions to students aged preschool to high school. - Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress. - Manage a caseload primarily consisting of regional preschool students ages 3-5, with flexibility based on experience. - Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with district and state guidelines. - Engage in professional development and contribute to the continuous improvement of therapy services. Qualifications: - Active Occupational Therapist license in California is required. - Experience working in school-based therapy settings preferred. - Ability to adapt caseload and services to meet the needs of diverse student populations. - Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with school teams and families. - Commitment to promoting the independence and well-being of children across developmental stages. Schedule and Location: - Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. - Services provided across multiple rural school sites in Watsonville, CA. - Contract duration starts immediately through the end of the 2025-26 school year, with extension into the 2026-27 school year.
