qualifications will not be considered. A specialized nursing
opportunity is available for experienced NICU RNs in a
well-equipped Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Located in
the coastal city of Seaside, CA, this travel assignment offers an
engaging professional environment supporting vulnerable neonatal
patients and their families. Assignments require commitment to 36
or 48 hours per week with 12-hour night shifts. The role begins on
April 20th and spans an 8-week period. The NICU admits primarily
Level II premature infants, including growers and feeders at 24-25
weeks gestation, with an average daily census of approximately 10
patients. The unit contains 15 private rooms, 6 open bay areas, and
an isolation room, all designed to optimize patient care. A
nurse-to-patient ratio averaging 1:3 is maintained according to
patient acuity, supported by a dedicated Charge RN and Medical Unit
Clerk during daytime hours. Responsibilities include providing
comprehensive nursing care aligned with neonatal standards,
monitoring vital signs, administering treatments, coordinating with
multidisciplinary teams, and supporting families throughout their
neonatal care journey. The nurse maintains meticulous documentation
and ensures adherence to safety and infection control protocols in
a dynamic trauma and teaching hospital environment. Qualifications
and Experience: Valid RN license with neonatal ICU experience
Proficient in Level III NICU care practices and protocols Ability
to work 12-hour night shifts for the length of assignment Strong
communication and critical thinking skills Experience with neonatal
