Physical Therapy Assistant Location: Hayward, CA Agency: Acruex Health Pay: $1,050 to $1,200 per week Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 10 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Pay Rate: $35.00 - $40.00/Hourly. Summary: A Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in a Long Term Care (LTC) setting supports licensed physical therapists in providing rehabilitative care to residents. The role focuses on improving mobility, strength, balance, and overall functional independence for elderly or chronically ill patients. Responsibilities: Implement treatment plans developed by the Physical Therapist. Assist residents with therapeutic exercises, mobility training, and rehabilitation programs. Monitor patient progress and report changes to the supervising Physical Therapist. Help patients improve strength, balance, coordination, and range of motion. Assist with gait training, transfer techniques, and use of assistive devices (walkers, canes, wheelchairs).
