Job Description:

We're looking for an eager and excited HR Coordinator to join our team. The right individual will have a foundational understanding of the HR world, be thorough and organized, and manage the time in their workday expertly and efficiently. This HR Coordinator must be able to communicate effectively and decisively with all levels of the organization while solving practical problems.This position provides administrative support in various functional areas of human resources, with an emphasis in personnel records maintenance, employee communications, and HR compliancyPrimary Responsibilities:Maintain and update current HR files to ensure accuracy and compliancy.Performing file audits to ensure that all required employee documentation is collected and maintainedMaintaining records related to grievances, performance reviews, and disciplinary actionsDevelop and implement policies and documentation related to HR policies and procedures.Assist with employee performance evaluations and plansManages all pre-employment activities including; offer letters, new hire packets, background investigations, new hire paperwork, and new hire notifications.Conducts a variety of personnel file audits and I-9 audits.Explaining human resource policies, procedures, laws, and standards to new and existing employeesAssist employees by answering policy questions, and listen to employee concerns or suggestions related to safety, morale or government compliance issues.Prepare Personnel Action Notices and employee change letters regarding salary, promotion, status, title, manager, and terminations.--Represents organization at personnel-related hearings and investigations.Alert management to any potential liabilities or impending legal requirements which could impact the business.Ensures the organization is compliant with all HR federal and state employment laws.Supports management by providing human resources advice, counsel, and decisions; analyzing information and applications.Identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance. -- Ensures government compliance with all applicable. FLSA, OSHA, EEO, ADA and other laws. Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesStrong sense of urgency to respond to and address all HR-related inquiries timely and professionally from both internal and external customers.Able to effectively draft and prepare professionally written correspondence, e-mails, facsimiles, and memorandum with an attention to detail.Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize and work under pressureSuperior problem solving and analytical skills.Demonstrated ability to keep information confidential, commitment to producing high-quality work, and strong attention to detail.--Minimum qualifications:Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university plus three to five years related human resources management experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel)Communicates well both verbally and written. Creates accurate and punctual reports, demonstrates good listening skills. Demonstrates behavior that is welcoming, friendly, open and approachablePreferred qualifications:Experience with ADP and When I WorkProfessional in Human Resources (PHR) Certification, and/or, SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP) Credential--Knowledge of FLSA, OSHA, EEO, and ADA lawsWork Schedule: Part-time, 16-24 hours per week
