Job Summary:

The primary role of the Customer Services Supervisor is to oversee all outside operations at the Golf Academy, Practice Facility and The Hay Short Course, including the supervision and training of all outside staff, ensuring guests are provided world class service, and providing access controls to all facilities.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Supervise all outside personnel with an emphasis on delivering a world class experience to each guest.
  • Ensure that each guest in greeted in a polite and courteous manner.
  • Daily starter and service duties at the new short course, ensuring proper access controls and tee sheet accountability.
  • Assist all guests with golf bags and related equipment as needed.
  • Maintain a clean range deck, short game areas and surrounding areas of the entire facility.
  • Constantly patrol area looking for ways to assist guests.
  • Be responsible for training new staff in operational policies and procedures.
  • Be the key point person for safety in the workplace.
  • Maintain a clean and well-organized podium, ball cleaning and washout area.
  • Coordinate with the Golf Academy any special events that need special set-up and execute.
  • Maintain all equipment in working order and report any equipment that needs attention.
  • Ensure a standardized range deck set-up and maintaining the set-up throughout the day.
  • Comply with all Pebble Beach Company safety and health policies and procedures.
  • Perform reasonable tasks and projects as assigned by the Golf Head Professional or Assistant Golf Starter Managers.
  • Ensure the safe operation of all equipment by making regular inspections. Tag as needed.
  • Control ball inventory, changing out when necessary, and performing regular picks.
  • Coordinate the daily location and amount of hitting locations.
  • Ensure the standards of service, appearance, safety and maintenance by all range personnel.

Absolutely Required Skills:

  • Must have golf related experience.
  • High School diploma and must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Valid California drivers license.

Desired Skills:

  • Knowledge of Pebble Beach Company and the golf industry are helpful.
  • Knowledge regarding the game of golf is desirable.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand for long periods of time. Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, and reach with hands and arms. Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally over 50 pounds. Repetitive hand use and firm grasping is required. Skin/hands frequently in water and exposed to chemicals. Exposure to marked changes in temperature.
