Job Description:

A local bank in Monterey County has partnered with Robert Half Monterey to fill one of three open positions. The job will run temporary through Robert Half for a few months before a permanent offer is made, medical benefits and sick pay available through Robert half during the temporary phase. The job duties include the following.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

uf0a7 Represents the Bank to the client in a courteous and professional manner, and

provides prompt, efficient and accurate service.

uf0a7 Understands and follows Bank policies and procedures.

uf0a7 Assist clients in selecting appropriate deposit accounts and offering additional

accounts and services to enhance client satisfaction and strengthen the client

relationship.

uf0a7 Account information input and maintenance completed accurately and in a timely

manner.

uf0a7 Ensure account/client information and documentation required is received to meet

compliance standards.

uf0a7 Contacts customers to cross-sell additional products and services which will benefit

the customer.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

uf0a7 May assist with assigned duties or special projects.

uf0a7 May function as a vault teller or client service representative/teller.

uf0a7 May function as back-up for courier service to ensure client's needs are met.

uf0a7 Supports Management's efforts in achieving sales and audit objectives.

uf0a7 Provide the highest level of customer service possible by following the guidelines

specified by the Quality Customer Service Bank-wide Expectations program.

uf0a7 Meet compliance and other training deadlines.

uf0a7 Maintain a professional demeanor at community events and other activities where

visible as a representative of the Bank.

uf0a7 Assist in controlling expenses in the areas pertaining to responsibilities.

uf0a7 It is the employee's responsibility to perform duties in accordance with federal &

state banking laws and regulations, as well as internal policies and procedures including BSA/AML, and to comply fully with those laws, regulations, policies and procedures. Additionally, managers and supervisors are responsible for creating an environment in which they hold their employees

accountable for the above.

uf0a7 Performs other ongoing duties or special projects as assigned by immediate supervisor or senior management.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

uf0a7 A minimum of two years experience in branch operations, including teller functions

uf0a7 A minimum of two years experience new accounts opening and service including

knowledge of IRA set-up is preferred

uf0a7 Positive, courteous, and knowledgeable image

uf0a7 Able to quickly identify the client's needs and offer sound solutions

uf0a7 Extensive product knowledge and strong sales skills are essential

uf0a7 An individual with strong planning, coordinating and analytical skills will be more effective in the position.

uf0a7 Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ideally 1-2 years experience working in banking customer service.
  • CRM experience.
  • Bank Account reconciliations and relations management experience.
