You will be the expert on our wines, telling the story of each bottle and are expected to continue to maintain in depth knowledge of our wines, products, and local wine growing regions. You are also expected to sign up new members for the Wine Club and participate in daily activities that improve wine club retention. Join the Folktale family, we are excited to meet you! Essential Duties and Responsibilities Maintain in-depth knowledge about the wines, the vineyards, the brands, and the winery Become a positive ambassador for the brand and products Provide exceptional service to all guestsAccurately handle routine purchasing transactions, which include operating POS system with daily sales Complete daily side work Know the menu and ingredients in every dish, continue to study menu descriptors and stay up to date on product knowledgeServe & conduct tasting flight experiences Sign up new wine club members frequently and engage with your current membersResponsible for keeping a clean work environment which will include the proper disposal of trash and breaking down of recyclable materials Assist with answering phones and making and cancelling reservations for guests Check sections and clean and buff silverware and glassDaily engagement in Wine Club procedures, such as sign ups, member guest service, quarterly wine club allocations, personalized retention projects, and wine shipmentsDuring service, maintain guest relations by continuing to service table with refilled beverages and delivering foodFrequently sanitize surfaces and other Covid related cleaning dutiesEngage on Paylocity, the company's human resources platform Able to carry out the duties and responsibilities of the busser or hostEnsure employee's health and safety through Covid cleaning guidelines Earn $15 - $25 / hour or more when including tips!And much, much more

Requirements:
1 year serving or relevant hospitality experienceMust be a team playerExcellent customer servicePassion or interest in learning about wineMust be 21 or olderFood Handler & Beverage CertificationsPhysical RequirementsThe ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours), walk, sit, reach, bend, stoop, climb, frequently lift up to 35 pounds, and occasionally lift/move 50 pounds is required. This position also requires continual use of manual dexterity and gross motor skills with frequent use of bi-manual dexterity and fine motor skills, and the ability to clearly speak, hear, see, and adjust focus.Each of the items listed is considered to be an essential function of the role.
