Ensures all guests receive immediate, personalized and professional attention. Ideal candidate will possess an outgoing, dynamic personality with a positive attitude. Must contribute to a team environment by taking orders, delivering food, restocking plates/silverware, clearing tables and resetting tables, and assists the restaurant team to ensure guests have an excellent dining experience. Eligible for Union benefit package.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Oversee and assist in maintaining cleanliness of outlet.
• Ensure coverage of the entrance, greeting arriving guests and thanking those that are leaving.
• Assist with special event set-up, such as skirting buffet or inserting menu cards.
• Check reservations in book and assign table numbers. Ensure availability for resort guests.
• Call to confirm large parties.
• Check schedule and staffing levels.
• Check all menus for cleanliness and accuracy.
• Answer the telephone, take reservations and give directions to restaurant.
• Maintain waiting list, select table and escort guests to the table.
• Resolve guest problems whenever possible and involve manager when necessary.
• Answer questions regarding menu items.
• Schedule reservations according to established procedures.
• Bring guests' needs to the attention of appropriate dining room staff or management.
• Complete daily labor report.
• Check reservations in book and IG, and assign table numbers. Ensure availability for resort guests.
• Check IG for reservations and maintain waves.
• Call to confirm large parties and schedule reservations according to established procedures.
• Maintain waiting list, select table and escort guests to the table.
• Take the guests' food and drink orders when business necessitates
• Monitor alcohol consumption and behavior of guests alerting a manager of any intoxicated or questionable guests.
• Observe guests' progress and respond in a timely way to their needs.
• Clean up spills immediately.
• Set-up and break down special events, to include moving tables, chairs and other furniture as necessary.
• Remove used dishes and maintain tables during meal by replacing utensils as necessary and refolding napkins.
• Follow Pebble Beach Company cash handling policies and procedures.
• Comply with all Pebble Beach Company safety, health and general policies and procedures.Absolutely Required Skills:
  • Must be available to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Food safety and TIPS certification required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.Desired Skills:
    • Previous Host experience preferred.
    • Knowledge of point of sale system helpful.Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods of time and move frequently from area to area. Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, and reach with hands and arms. Firm grasping and repetitive hand-use required.Why work for us:
