Come grow with us! General Purpose and Scope of Position:Wilbur-Ellis is seeking an experienced Fabricator / Welder to fabricate components, repair, and maintain agricultural equipment. The ideal candidate will succeed in this position by reading prints and studying the metal to calculate the accurate requirements to determine the appropriate welding techniques. Key Skills and Abilities Include:Knowledge of assembly; parts; welding; welding symbols; quality control; and safety (REQUIRED)Ability to read and understand welding drawingsEffective verbal and written communication skills (REQUIRED)Familiarity and comfortable with various types of machineryKnowledge of spray and fertilizer equipment (STRONGLY PREFERRED)Strong general mechanical skills Key Personal Attributes Include:Physically able to read, evaluate, and respond to product specifications and drawingsPhysically able to stand, walk, squat, lay, pull, push, and lift consistently throughout an eight-hour workdayGood hand-to-eye coordinationManual dexterityAccurately perform normal math calculations with easePositive, friendly attitude to promote a collaborative team environment Specific Responsibilities and Key Deliverables Include:Comply with all safety rules and proceduresWeld metal parts together to fabricate and/or repair machinery according to layouts, blueprints, and/or work ordersOperate tools including but not limited to hand grinder, burning equipment, cutting torch, and other material handling equipmentMaintain and complete all required records in a timely and accurate mannerCheck and inspect welding according to specifications Generous BenefitsIn compliance with all states and cities that require transparency of pay, the base compensation for this position ranges from $26.15 - $34.87 per hour.
