Job Description:The Loader is responsible for loading and offloading cooled products. Candidates must have current or prior a minimum of 2 years of forklift experience and certification. Bilingual skills in English and Spanish are always highly desired. SCOPE OF ROLELoad trucks in a timely manner; check load count and commodity against order sheet and aging report; Discuss load configuration with driver; check trailers for cleanliness, cold temperatures, condition of chute and check floor stability;Ensure that boxes and pallets are in good condition, stacked correctly and stable, apply corner-boards & shrink wrap when required;Remove pallet stickers for shipping office personnel when required; correctly mark left over pallets (Pallet Tag info) when building partial loads;Help maintain cold room rotation; keep the facility clean and organized;Fill out daily equipment check list; receive product from transfer loads; other duties as assigned.SKILLS, ABILITIES AND REQUIREMENTSThe qualified candidate will be an effective advocate and, at all times, maintain a professional image that supports Ocean Mist Farms values, image and goals.
