Job Description:
Works under the direction of the Director of Ambulatory Medical
Informatics. The Resolute Professional Billing, Analyst supports
the planning, design, development, build and/or configuration of
third party applications and Epic's Resolute Professional Billing
applications which include Resolute Professional Billing (non-SBO),
Charge Router, and other related Epic and third party applications.
Epic Resolute Professional Billing Analysts will have a solid
understanding of the revenue cycle operations of SVMHS' ambulatory
practices including (but not limited to) ambulatory clinic-based
physician billing, RVU reporting, Fee Schedule build and
maintenance, Cash Management, Reporting Workbench and Radar reports
(include batch/extracts to 3rd party vendors), build and
maintenance of the General Ledger, integration with MyChart bill
pay.Acts as the primary support contact for the application's
end-users. Identifies issues that arise in their application area
as well as issues that impact other application teams, and working
to resolve them. Guides workflow design, builds and tests the
system, and analyzes other technical issues associated with Epic
software. Identifies and implements requested changes to the
system. Serves as a liaison between end users' workflow needs and
Epic implementation staff. Communicates all necessary application
changes, enhancements and procedures to all necessary department
teams. Maintaining regular communication with Epic representatives,
including participating in weekly project team meetings. Works with
Epic representatives, SVMHS' business partners, and end users to
ensure the system meets the organization's business needs in
regards to the project deliverables and timeline. Develops an
understanding the clinical and operational needs to set the
direction for the organization's workflows by attending site
visits, workflow sessions, and other integrated sessions. May
participate in the development of end-user training processes
and/or curriculum content.Troubleshoots problems and questions from
end users. Reviews the status of projects and issues on an ongoing
basis with manager. Attends weekly meetings with team members to
discuss the status of deliverables, shared issues, end-user
concerns, budget, and upcoming milestones. In conjunction with
operational subject matter experts, builds application-specific
workflows or processes for ambulatory practices and users that
could include, for example, visit navigators, preference lists,
orders and linked charges, results routing, documentation
templates, application-specific rules, flowsheets, reports,
SmartForms, visit types, user role templates, application-specific
schedules, etc. Completes testing cycles (unit, functional and
integration testing); includes coordinating with departmental
end-users and obtaining customer signoff. Works with other analysts
to maintain continuity in process and in support of our integrated
Epic electronic medical record. Conducts system enhancements/new
features, build, upgrades/quarterly updates and optimization.
Ensures all changes to the application follow approved change
management procedures and protocols, create and maintain all
documentation for all assigned applications and develop, plan and
execute testing for supported applications. Information Systems job
responsibilities: Employee should be familiar with the Information
Systems Standards and Best Practices concepts and requirements.

for understanding, completeness and accuracy.Employee shall
document the system management, maintenance, and support
requirements in a location accessible to Information Technology and
appropriate SVMH support staff who have responsibility. Performs
other duties as assigned.Education: Associate's degree required or
two years' experience in one or more of the following areas: health
care, design of an electronic healthcare record system or
information technology.Licensure: Current Epic Resolute
Professional Billing certification required. New hires and
transfers have 45 days from completion of SVMHS-sponsored Epic
training to complete required Epic certification. Current
certification in Epic Resolute Single Billing Office preferred
Experience: A minimum of two (2) years' of electronic health record
systems analysis, design, build and support required. Epic
application implementation, troubleshooting, testing, and support
experience preferred. Must have experience with data collection
procedures and data management. A minimum of two (2) years'
experience in California with complicated payor requirements,
demonstrable knowledge in the area of regulatory billing
requirements by CMS, Medicaid and other payors required. Must have
the ability to translate and write functional specifications,
develop and document operational procedures, test software, and
coordinate software release procedures. Experience with, or
certification in any of the following applications or modules is
preferred: EpicCare Ambulatory, Cadence, Prelude, Resolute
Professional Billing (non-SBO), HIM- ROI, Security, Bones,
Surescripts, SmartForms, Order Transmittal, Referrals, Reporting
Workbench, Cadence, Haiku/Canto, CareEverywhere, Urgent Care and/or
MyChart. Experience in medical billing, claims, or other related
areas of the revenue cycle preferred. Experience with Rural Health
Clinic billing payor requirements preferred.
