Job Description:
Required QualificationsHigh School Diploma or Higher a Plus1
year of high-speed production experience in a QA RoleExperience of
Familiarity working with QMS a plusUSDA & FDA Environment
experience a plusRelevant Food Manufacturing Experience a
plusBi-lingual (English and Spanish a plus)Desired
QualificationsWorking knowledge of Word in a label making
capacityAbility and willingness to follow Standard Operating
ProceduresAbility to receive written and verbal directionsAbility
to understand general work processesBasic computer skills including
proficiency in MS Office Products Intermediate (Outlook, Word and
Excel).Good communication skills.Detail oriented, excellent record
keeping and documentation skills.Responsible, reliable and
attention to timelines.Familiarity and understanding of Critical
Control Points (CCP's), SOP's and Quality Standards.Familiarity
with ingredients, processes, and finished product
disposition.ResponsibilitiesEnsure "Safety First" is always
practiced and observes and adheres to all job safety rules.Monitor
daily operations as assigned to ensure compliance to established
procedures, customer specifications and/or Work Order
instructionsPerform incoming goods, in process and finished product
inspections per approved proceduresIdentify and report unusual
quality conditions to Quality Department management employees for
correctionInitiate Hold Reports for non-conforming goods,
out-of-specification processes, in process failures, etc.Perform
and/or verify equipment calibration per established procedures and
frequencies as directedEnsure adherence to company employee safety,
food safety and GMP policiesConduct daily GMP inspections in
production and warehouse areasInspect machinery to ensure proper
clean-up has occurred when neededAssist in managing retain sample
inventoryMonitoring CCP's and QCP'sEnsure prevention of below
standard raw materials are contained and removed from available
inventoryResponsible of reporting Food Safety and Quality Concerns
for non-conforming raw materials, packaging foodsEnsure all raw
materials meet regulatory and internal requirements for food safety
and qualityManage and review COA/COC for incoming goods as
neededParticipate in Mock and Customer requested Trace Recall
Drills as necessaryAbide by ALL Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
and SOPsResponsible for reporting Food Defense observations to
Quality TeamsPerform additional duties as requested by the
LeadershipPhysical RequirementsRepetitive lifting, push, pulling up
to 50 poundsFrequent standing walking, bending, twisting, lifting,
climbing stairsNormal vision, hearing sensitivity and manual
dexterity is necessary in positionFast pace manufacturing /
packaging work environment
